Projects often lose focus over time. To combat

of the team and stakeholders aware of what is important to the
project.
This begins with identifying the drivers of performance, cost, and
schedule
as well as those tasks and activities that move the project forward
on
a daily basis, including all project assumptions, constraints,
barriers,
and enablers.
Conspicuous documentation sometimes means telling
everyone what
they need to hear and not just what they want to hear, especially
stakeholders
and executives. It means timely reporting of both the good news and
the bad
news and getting the truth out on the table.

informed, but also ensures that the project stays focused and
follows its
original drivers or that appropriate changes are made when the
project requirements change.
